Social Running

Whilst we are a competitive club, social running is at the heart of club life, bringing members together for relaxed miles, shared adventures and plenty of laughs. From international club trips for marathons and parkruns to scenic fell outings, and much-loved traditions like the Christmas relays, Christmas light runs, and the annual Dovedale Dash, this is where running meets social eating and drinking, and often involves fancy dress.

Our 'Between the Eves' social trail run, organised by Pete Henley, as always attracted a great turnout of people this year. 12.57 chilly miles (or 20km) with a steady 442m of ascent, starting and finishing at the Fox House, Longshaw, and taking in White Edge, Gardens Edge, Baslow Edge, Curbar Edge and Froggatt Edge.
