2020 DATE FOR THE RACE IS : FRIDAY 24TH JULY 2020
The Newstead Abbey Dash will be back again in 2020. We will again be hosting the Notts AAA County 5k Championships, but also look forward to those new to running trying this out as their first 5k road race.
Friday evening in the romantic grounds of Lord Byron’s stately home. A 1km descent to the abbey and lake is followed by a short shady incline then a steady stretch to the turning point near Newstead village, and back past the lake to finish on the green in front of the abbey. Prizes are available for overall, category. We keep our entry fees as low as possible to make this an accessible event for both elite and recreational runners.

Due to advice from England Athletics we have made the call to temporary suspend online enters for the time being, Please don’t worry if you have already entered we are hope the race still goes ahead as we have a few months to go yet, We will look to reopen enters as soon as we can. We will keep you updated and have a review at the end of May beginning of June,

GEDLING COUNTRY PARK 10K UPDATE - WITH THE WAY THING ARE, WE HAVE MADE THE CALL NOT TO BRING BACK THE 10K THIS YEAR AND WILL LOOK INTO NEXT YEAR.
Following the success of previous race Redhill Road Runners 10k events at Bestwood Country Park & Gedling Country Park, we were proud to announce that the Gedling Country Park 10k will be back this year!Gedling Country Park 10k is an undulating race around the traffic free trails of Gedling Country Park, Nottingham. The park is on the site of the old Gedling Colliery and offers fantastic views over the Trent valley.
