Following the success of previous race Redhill Road Runners 10k events at Bestwood Country Park & Gedling Country Park, we look forward to re-introducing our 10k in Gedling Country Park same time in the future. Gedling Country Park 10k will be an undulating race around the traffic free trails of Gedling Country Park, Nottingham. The park is on the site of the old Gedling Colliery and offers fantastic views over the Trent valley.

BESTWOOD COUNTRY PARK 10k

Redhill Road Runners organised an annual 10k September race in Bestwood Country Park, Nottingham, from the mid 1980s to 2011. The course was predominantly off road along established trails in the park, `undulating’ and with a fast, downhill finish. The Bestwood 10k became a highly successful event, for both club runners and families, including a regular `fun run’ for juniors, a series of drinking mugs as prizes, spot prizes and trophies. For a period, the club adapted a similar route as a race in the Nottinghamshire AAA Summer League Series.
