Redhill Shine at Nottinghamshire Cross Country Championships

Redhill Road Runners made an excellent start to the 2026 season at the Nottinghamshire Cross Country Championships, held at Bulwell Hall Park on Saturday 3rd January. The challenging winter course and strong county-level fields provided a true test of strength and determination.

The women’s teams produced an impressive set of results. In the Masters Women’s competition, Redhill secured silver team medals, with our ladies' teams placing 2nd and 4th. In the Senior Women’s race, Redhill fielded two additional teams who finished 6th and 9th overall.

The men’s teams continued the club’s success. The Senior Men delivered a consistent team performance to win bronze medals, while the Masters Men achieved one better, winning silver.

There was also individual success on the day. Michelle Butler claimed gold in the F55 category, while Rosemary Horn secured silver in the F65 category. On the men’s side, Michael Horn added to the medal tally with a silver medal in the M75 category.

The next cross-country event is the final North Midlands XC race, again at Bulwell Park on Saturday 10th January. This is followed by the Midland Counties Cross Country Championships at Mallory Park Racing Circuit, Leicestershire, on Saturday 24th January, and the start of the East Midlands XC Series on Sunday 25th January at Bramcote Park.
