Redhillers needed for Midlands 12 and 6 stage relays

The Midland Counties Athletics Association Relays at Sutton Park, Birmingham, are being held on Saturday 28th March 2026, and we are looking for Redhill members to be entered for our teams.

This year, there will be no long legs, so everyone will run the same distance of 5.47km. There will be 12 legs for men and 6 legs for women.

The races start at 12noon and it can be a long day, but it is fun and a nice way to spend time with your running buddies. We appreciate that many people may have family commitments, so you can just attend for your leg, and it can be arranged that you run towards the start or end, depending on your availability.

Can you let Charlotte and Tim know if you’re interested in running in this race either in person or by selecting going on the Facebook event page ASAP. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of time to recruit and organise teams of 6 and 12 runners, and the sooner you register your interest, the more likely you are to be included in a team by the 15th March entry deadline.

We need 12 men and 6 women to make teams. This is a race the club pays for, so it’s no cost to you. Further details can be found here.
